11/22/2008 - Not So Great Conditions Today

After the 20'+ vis earlier in the week I expected something better than what we had today. We had larger surf than Wednesday and the surge was stirring the sand down to 50 feet. We went back to the area where I found the Polycera hedgpethi on Monday. After less than a minute of searching, Merry spotted another one.
The area known as the Salad Bowl seems to have been covered by sand the past month or so, so nudi hunting has become pretty tough. Aside from the hedgpethi we saw only a few small Spanish Shawls.
These are my meager shots from today. It was tough to focus in the sandstorm. The octopus was from Wednesday afternoon.
